Liverpool supporters have been in high spirits in recent times after seeing their team head into the current break for internationals with a 100% record and indeed top of the Premier League table.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were heavily tipped by many during the summer to be challenging for the title this term after a transfer market full of shrewd investment, and their start suggests that they may well be there or thereabouts. The Reds have won all four matches to kick off the campaign, getting past West Ham, Crystal Palace, Brighton, and Leicester City to make their intentions very clear heading into the remainder of the 2018/19 season.
Consequently, there have been many thrilled Liverpudlians up and down the country in recent times, several of whom have been reacting to a recent interview from winger Xherdan Shaqiri (via the club’s official Twitter handle).

The 26-year-old was one of four signings at Anfield during the summer as Klopp sought to improve various areas of his squad ahead of a title pursuit, with the Switzerland international costing just £13 million as a result of his relegation with Stoke City last season.
And while he has yet to start for the Reds in the Premier League this term, instead earning two substitute appearances, his efforts during the international break for his country suggest that he is in fine form, and may well be knocking on the door of a starting role.
In fact, many Liverpool fans took to Twitter to call for Klopp to make a key selection decision by bringing the 26-year-old into the starting eleven against Tottenham on Saturday, as the Merseysiders go in search of a fifth straight league win…
Start him next match

I think Klopp should rotate our front-3 against Spurs…maybe start Mane-Sturridge-Shaqiri…OR…Mane-Sturridge-Salah…Just an idea#LFC

i’d start milner, keita and shaqiri.
I know that he’s a forward but salah drifts inside anyway, he can become a true winger on the attack and if needed bobby’ll go back and support the midfield like he does. sounds crazy but I think it’d work.— Majd Anbar (@majd13an) September 12, 2018
We need Shaqiri to find his shooting boots. He missed a couple of sitters against England the other day.
Starting this weekend please.
