West Ham: Fans aren’t happy as Loris Karius is linked with the club - West Ham

A lot of West Ham fans are not pleased with the latest transfer rumour, linking Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius with a move to East London.

According to a report from Turkish media outlet Fanatik, the 26-year-old is available for £7.25 million and the Hammers are interested in signing him.

But the shot stopper has had a very rough time since he made high profile errors in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid, via BBC Sport. Indeed he has since gone on to make more mistakes during his loan spell with Besiktas, including one against Slovan Bratislava (talkSPORT) and one against Malmo (via Sport Bible).

West Ham fan account, @whufc_news, was quick to shoot down potentially signing the German, laughing at the idea of replacing one error prone goalkeeper in Roberto Jimenez with another. Indeed like Karius, Roberto had a reputation for making blunders between the sticks, one of which came against Burnley which was particularly embarrassing (The Guardian).

Added to that, he was also given a rating of two out of ten for his part in a loss against Newcastle, per Football.London. He has since been moved out on loan and is now playing in the La Liga, via Transfermarkt.

Most fans aren’t happy about potentially signing Karius, here is what some said about the link:
