There’s a lot of excitement amongst the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern at present…
The Blues have made a good start to the season, and a couple of last-minute signings has produced a new wave of positivity at Stamford Bridge.
One player that moved to Chelsea towards the end of the window was Davide Zappacosta, who came to the Blues from Torino.
A full-back, the Italian has likely been brought in to provide competition for Victor Moses at the back, but many in the pub have been calling for him to come in straight away.
Indeed, having watched Italy’s friendlies, Zappacosta’s qualities have certainly been displayed. Our landlord, though, isn’t so sure, and so he decided to open up the discussion – and the results are quite interesting.
Indeed, it appears as though the majority of Chelsea fans want Antonio Conte to stick to what he knows – with just 29% of supporters keen to see Zappacosta line up for the Blues.
That does make sense, to be honest, as the Italian has hardly trained with his new club, whilst Victor Moses has looked good this term.
Offering a fantastic balance of defence and attack, it appears as though Moses has finally earned the trust of the often hard to please Chelsea supporters.
Still, he’s likely to get a chance over the coming weeks, but will he take it? Let us know!
