The Lilywhites have had problems off and on the pitch for years now but if they’re to finally overcome that stage in their history, they need to look at acquiring some talent good enough to launch them back into the Premier League. Our punters believe that targeting a move for Peterborough’s Jack Marriott, who is valued at £315k on Transfermarkt, would be a great addition at Elland Road.
Marriott may not be a big name in football but his goalscoring ability in League One has been incredible, proven by his statistics of scoring 33 goals in all competitions last season. The 23-year-old has warranted interest from a range of teams unsurprisingly because of those achievements in front of goal last season. It is likely that Marriott will look to leave the League One side this summer and with Leeds struggling for goal threats themselves, this seems like a match made in heaven.
The big forward also has time to improve at the age of 23, because although his goalscoring ability is already top notch, his overall game still has time to get better. Leeds fans are desperately hoping that this summer transfer window is good enough to allow their squad to gain considerable strength, with promotion to the Premier League in mind. The Lilywhites certainly are a big club and if they can get proven English goal-scorers like Jack Marriott in the club, their bid for a top flight return looks a lot stronger.
