The QPR fans playing in a pool tournament in The Transfer Tavern are discussing the news that the club’s owners have written of the club’s debts.
The Guardian is reporting that Tony Fernandes and the club’s owners have written off loans worth around £180 million that they have put in to club.
The figures were released by the club’s parent company on the companies house website, which revealed the details of the written off debt.
There had been speculation that these loans were written off to aid Tony Fernandes into finding a new buyer for the club, a claim which the club have strenuously denied.
Following the club’s relegation from the Prenier League speculation about points deduction and failure to conform to the Football League surfaced but those claims were also dismissed.
QPR are currently looking for a new manager after Chris Ramsey lost his job last month after making a less than impressive start to life in the Championship following relegation from the Premier League last season.
