Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has been named as the Scottish Premiership Manager of the Month for December, as noted by the club’s official website rangers.co.uk and shared by their official Twitter account @RangersFC.

The 39-year-old was presented with the award at the first team’s mid-season training camp in Dubai along with his coaching staff and it is the second time in this campaign that he has earned the monthly accolade, having also been Manager of the Month for September. [via rangers.co.uk]
Rangers played eight matches during a busy December and recovered from defeat in the Betfred Cup final to book their passage to the knockout rounds of the Europa League.
They finished the month in excellent form with four straight wins, the last of which was a 2-1 triumph away to crosstown rivals and Premiership leaders Celtic, a result which closed the gap on the Hoops to two points with Gerrard’s team having a game in hand.
