Yesterday saw Steven Gerrard bring big Kyle Lafferty back to Ibrox for his second spell at the club after he left when the club went into administration in 2012. Overnight, one of his ex-Rangers teammates, DaMarcus Beasley took to Twitter to congratulate the big man on his move, leading o fans calling for the American to return to the club too.
Congrats on your move back to Rangers big man!! https://t.co/Shy6cVkOTA

The only issue with the idea of bringing Beasley back is his age. The seasoned full-back is currently 36 and whilst he still turns out for the Houston Dynamos, he’s hardly in his prime and will be hanging up his boots sooner or later. That hasn’t stopped the fans calls to bring the American back to Glasgow and they’d love to see him bombing down the left flank on the overlap whipping balls in for the big man Lafferty.
It’s highly unlikely that Beasley will make a return to the club, though. If anything this one’s just a pipe dream for the Gers and they’ll have to look back on the three years they had with the defender between 2007-2010 to see him back in the Rangers blue. It does look like Beasley will be retiring soon and he can put his two Scottish Premier League winners medals right up there alongside his biggest achievements in his career.

The Gers would all love to get DaMarcus Beasley back at the club but it doesn’t look that will be possible.
