Sometimes, when a move doesn’t suit a player there is no point in pursuing it, and that’s exactly what has happened with Ovie Ejaria at Rangers. The on-loan Liverpool man has had his loan deal at Ibrox terminated, a decision which was confirmed on the Rangers website. However, instead of slating the youngster for his choice, the fans are behind him.

The 21-year-old midfielder won’t have left Rangers for his lack of game-time, no, the Englishman racked up 28 appearances in his half-season at Ibrox, including 11 games in the Europa League. Ejaria even scored twice for Steven Gerrard’s side, but it seemed clear towards the end of his loan that he was unsettled and there was something not quite right with him.
The game time in Scotland will have done him a world of good, but ultimately it seemed that the shirt was just a little bit too heavy for the midfielder in Rangers, as he stepped into the goldfish bowl that is Glasgow with his loan move. The chances are, Ejaria will find himself another loan in January, although probably to a lower league English club, as he continues to develop away from Ibrox, and the fans wish him all the best in his career.
