On Friday evening, Rangers announced that winger Glenn Middleton has signed a new contract, keeping him at Ibrox until 2023. The Scottish youth international was brought in from Norwich City in January, yet to make a first-team appearance for the Canaries. He was taken on their pre-season tour to Spain as a nifty left-winger who excels in one-on-one situations which impressed Steven Gerrard enough to promote him to the first-team. Middleton has three goals and one assist in just 288 minutes of first-team football this season showing exactly why the ‘Gers signed him up for years to come.

One fan was so impressed with the deal he wanted another youthful winger signed on a new deal too, this time, a permanent deal for Ryan Kent.
