Rangers: Sakala, Balogun and Kamara disappoint vs Braga

Rangers: Sakala, Balogun and Kamara disappoint vs Braga -Rangers News

Glasgow Rangers lost the first leg of their UEFA Europa League tie on Thursday night 1-0 thanks to a goal from Abel Ruiz a few minutes before half-time.

There were some pretty poor performances for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team on the night, and The Transfer Tavern have now used statistical experts SofaScore to analyse who their three worst players were.

With the second leg perhaps taking priority over league ventures after the loss to Celtic, could these three players now be worried about their places in the XI for the clash at Ibrox?

Glen Kamara

With a 6.5 overall rating given, Kamara ranked as the Ibrox faithful’s third-worst performer.

Should Rangers sell Kamara?

The central midfielder lost out on five of his duels, and also failed to record a single clearance or tackle, losing possession of the ball nine times in total.

Offensively, Kamara was accused of ‘not offering enough‘, recording no shots on goal, successful dribbles or key passes.

Leon Balogun

After his huge error that led to Braga’s goal, Balogun was given just a 6.2 rating.

The centre-back lost two duels, and failed to block any shots, while he was also inaccurate with all three of his long ball attempts and gave possession away ten times.

Fashion Sakala

Hauled off after just 62 minutes after struggling to make an impact, Sakala was handed a 6.1 rating.

The striker was off target with both of his shots, and never managed a single dribble or key pass, losing the ball a total of 11 times.

Shockingly, Sakala also lost out on all ten of his individual duels, and no player lost more throughout the game.
