Glasgow Rangers duo Jordan Jones and George Edmundson have been hit with seven-game bans after breaking lockdown regulations to go to a house party earlier on this month.
The pair went to a gathering after the Ibrox outfit beat Kilmarnock 1-0 – neither were in the squad on the day. As soon as the news emerged, the Gers suspended them both and launched an investigation into their actions. Now, the Scottish FA have decided to give them both bans which will see them unable to play in the Premiership until December 30th against St. Mirren.
Given their actions, it seems hard to suggest that they don’t deserve their punishments, but some fans are angry that they have been given such sanctions after Aberdeen players and Boli Bolingoli only received three-match bans after similar breaches. Others, meanwhile, made it clear that they don’t want to see them play for the 54-time Scottish champions again.
Let’s see what the Rangers fans had to say below

Don’t want them to play again for us but disappointed the club are just accepting the ban should be asking questions of the process and why its a different punishment to other players 🤷♂️
Apologies mean nothing either actions speak louder than words both will be gone anyway https://t.co/lsnTz84fvu

Why aren’t we questioning why our players got harsher punishments then players from Celtic or Aberdeen? Weak from Rangers again tbh https://t.co/beqXDyEk5d

Accepting 7 games. I wouldn’t accept that. Should be treated the same. Maybe a 5 game ban to make an example. 7 a joke.

The weakness of our current board is shameful. If you can’t defend the club, the players and the supporters then jog on. You see where your ‘building bridges’ gets you – they just walk all over you and you just lie down and take it. Disgusting and you should resign immediately.
