Steven Gerrard has confirmed that Ryan Jack and Bongani Zungu are likely to be missing from the match against Benfica in the Europa League on Thursday.
The Gers face the Portuguese side at Ibrox in their fourth match of the group stage. They drew 3-3 in Lisbon, which was disappointing considering that Gerrard’s side were 3-1 up going into the final 15 minutes. However, the 54-time Scottish champions are joint-top of the group with Benfica, and a win would put them on the brink of qualification for the round of 32.
However, the Gers will have to do without Jack and Zungu, Gerrard has confirmed that both players are likely to be unavailable for the big clash.
Will Rangers beat Benfica?
The news that they will be without two potentially important players for the game has not gone down well at all with the Gers supporters, and some of them have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts.

That would be a big blow…..Jacks work, especially in a defensive role, in Europe has been huge
