Many Glasgow Rangers fans were delighted after the celebrations for their Premiership title made it all the way to Dubai and the Burj Khalifa.
This past weekend has been one of delight for the Gers. On Saturday, they brought their season to a close with a 4-0 victory over Aberdeen – that means they went the entire league campaign unbeaten (BBC). They were also given the trophy at Ibrox after their win over the Dons, and numerous Rangers supporters across Glasgow took to the streets to celebrate their achievement.
It seems that Gers supporters are enjoying the success in in parts of the globe as well. On Sunday evening, the Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest building (skyscrapercenter.com) – was lit up in recognition of the Gers’ 55th league title. They are first football club to light up the tower.
