Glasgow Rangers fans have hammered Hugh Keevins following comments he made aimed at Alfredo Morelos.
There is no doubt that Morelos is a handful at times for the wrong reasons. He has been involved in a couple of altercations with Celtic midfielder Scott Brown already this season and has seven red cards to his name since moving to Ibrox. Steven Gerrard was even forced to leave him out of the starting line-up for three consecutive games earlier this campaign.
However, Keevins’ comments made on Clyde SuperScoreboard may have gone too far. Meant to be a neutral journalist on national radio, he called the Colombia international a “nasty piece of work”.
Can Hugh Keevins be trusted?
This attracted the attention of plenty of the Gers supporters, and it is fair to say they are not too happy at all with Keevins’ comments. They took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about Keevins below
“Hugh Keevins referring to Morelos as a nasty piece of work is appalling.”
“Anyone? What was the context? A disgrace nonetheless”
“The insults come from a man who watched criminal behaviour at his favourite club and said nothing. No decent human being would stay silent but he has. His biased pontificating is sickening.”
“Hold this “nasty piece of work” Keevins to account for that disgraceful comment about Alfredo Morelos and a full public apology”
“I give you @shinjukushug calling wee alfie a nasty piece of work ,what a bitter twisted little man he is , horrible man @ClydeSSB are a disgrace”
“It’s not about being offended on his behalf. Edouard tackle v Dundee Utd & punch on Killie player off the ball both unpunished. Brown’s collection of elbows & stamps unpunished. It’s about calling out clear bias as Keevins wouldn’t say that about either of his own club’s players.”
In other news, Rangers eye this 30-goal striker.
