Glasgow Rangers fans are delighted after Steven Gerrard confirmed Scott Arfield has returned to training with the Ibrox outfit.

Arfield has been a very important member of the Gers squad so far this campaign, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 31 matches in all competitions (Transfermarkt). However, he has unfortunately been unavailable for the last eight Premiership matches due to injury.

Ahead of the Gers’ clash with Kilmarnock on Saturday – one he started among the substitutes – Gerrard confirmed that the Canada international had returned to training with the first team. This should be a fantastic boost for the Gers as they close in on the Premiership title and prepare to take on Royal Antwerp in the Europa League round of 32.
