Rangers: Fans excited by Kennedy footage -Rangers News

Some Rangers fans have been reacting to a tweet that was posted by The Athletic’s Rangers correspondent, Jordan Campbell, which quote-tweeted a post from Heart of Midlothian’s official Twitter account sharing highlights from Saturday’s clash with Raith Rovers.

Out-on-loan Gers winger, Kai Kennedy, played a prominent role in this game for Raith Rovers, as he provided two assists, per Transfermarkt.

Can you get 10/10 on our random Rangers players quiz? We doubt it...

Just after the second half got underway, the 18-year-old earned a penalty (1:00) for Raith Rovers via a dribble, with Manny Duku converting from the spot.

His second assist (2:30) came for Reghan Tumilty’s goal in the 52nd minute, as he once again caused problems on the wing with his dribbling ability.

After Campbell shared footage of these assists via Twitter and raved over the teenager’s talent, his post got many Gers fans talking.

So, how have these Rangers fans been reacting to this tweet?

This tweet drew a largely positive response from fans of the Glasgow club.

“Player! Hopefully gets a good run of games until the end of the season.”

“I’d take the gamble with him over Wright personally. He brings more to games consistently (assists, goal contributions, 1v1 successes etc).”

“Watched the highlights from this morning waiting for the UFC, he certainly has some talent hopefully he can fulfil it. As for the pen, I think he expects the contact but he needs to feel that contact before going down”

“I’d like him to take the place of Barker, Jones or Stewart in the squad next year. Seems ideal back-up to Hagi/Kent. Does his development not negate the need for Wright?”

“Listen, none of our players have done that to Hearts defence in recent years, get magic feet Kai in squad next season”

“Do you think there is a chance he can stake a claim stay with the team next season and not go on loan to another Premiership team on loan? He looks a real threat and could add something off the bench?”

Should Kennedy be in Rangers' first-team?

In other news, some Rangers fans have been making it clear that they don’t want their club to sign Bongani Zungu permanently.
