Glasgow Rangers fans, as well as other football fans from South Africa, are delighted with the news that Bongani Zungu will start against Lech Poznan on Thursday.
Zungu signed on loan from Amiens on October 5th, but he is yet to start a single game for his new club. That has been down to him needing to quarantine when he first moved to Scotland, whilst he has also been working on improving his match fitness.

Now, though, with the Gers already through to the next round in the Europa League, Steven Gerrard is ready to give him his chance in the starting XI. Ahead of the Poznan clash, the Rangers manager confirmed that the 28-year-old will play for the Gers in Poland.

This has delighted both the Gers supporters and the South Africa fans. The latter are incredibly proud of their compatriot, it seems. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
