Rangers: Gers sign Nnamdi Ofoborh

According to The Daily Record, Glasgow Rangers have completed the signing of Nnamdi Ofoborh on a pre-contract agreement, and £300,000 could see him move to Ibrox this January.

Ofoborh deal completed

The Gers are said to have completed the signing of the 21-year-old, along with his Bournemouth teammate Jack Simpson.

As it stands, he is set to join up with his new side at the end of the season, but if the Gers pay £300,000 now, he could move north of the border during this month.

One for the future

The reports says that the 54-time Scottish champions are happy to wait for Simpson to join in a few months time as they have more than enough cover at centre-back. However, Ofoborh could come in handy this campaign, in part thanks to his versatility – as he can play both in defence and in midfield.

After spending time on loan at Wycombe Wanderers as they were promoted to the Championship, the Chairboys’ manager Gareth Ainsworth said that Nnamdi is a “gifted” footballer (afcb.co.uk). He has only made three league appearances so far this term (Transfermarkt), but it seems like Rangers think that he has a big future ahead of him – this looks like a very shrewd piece of business from Ross Wilson and co.

In other news, Rangers fans laud this man against Ross County.
