Glasgow Rangers are having a fantastic season on the pitch so far this campaign, but that has not stopped them from having a go at the SPFL.
Things could hardly be going better for Steven Gerrard right now at Ibrox. As it stands, the Gers have an 11-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership, are top of their Europa League group, and have not lost a single game in 24 matches in all competitions this term. Their latest win, a 3-2 victory over Standard Liege, means they are already through to the next round of the Europa League.

With no fans at stadiums, this is a season like no other. The pandemic means that authorities are keeping a stern eye on how clubs are carrying out social distancing protocols. Kilmarnock and St. Mirren have now been penalised after their players failed to observe social distancing correctly on the team bus and during the pre-match meal around their respective matches, for Kilmarnock against Motherwell and for St. Mirren against both Motherwell and Hamilton.

In each case, a 3-0 win has been awarded to the opponents of the sides that breached the rules. This has not gone down well with the Gers fans, who believe this is unfair on the clubs in questions. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

I believe it’s to do with the duration of these things…they would likely spend more than 15 minutes on the bus sat next to each other so they need to sit apart.
