The Portuguese winger, who had two seasons at Ibrox before transferring to Turkish club Genclerbirligi last summer, scored 14 times and provided 25 assists in 97 appearances for the Light Blues, an average of 0.14 goals and 0.26 assists per game.
He has scored three goals and set up four in 14 matches for his current club, averaging 0.21 goals and 0.29 assists per game.
As reported by BBC, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard had hoped that Candeias would stay at Ibrox for a third season but claimed that the winger told him he wanted to explore other options, with the ‘Gers bringing in several wide players including Sheyi Ojo, Brandon Barker and Jordan Jones in the off-season.
These Rangers fans on Twitter would welcome Candeias back to Ibrox:
He’s better than Ojo and Barker

Yes, because he would give us something we are missing that Jones, Murphy, Barker & Aribo all playing on the right don’t. Kent on the left, Candieas on the right. Both track back, and both put in a right good shift. It is a no brainer for me.

I think he should return because hes fast paced and he can run down the wing quick giving a opportunity to score early and the front 3 would look good with morelos and kent

Absolutely! Good player we let go, and too cheaply imo. Was always trying his heart out and was good for a goal too.
