Tbhe future of England’s first choice defender, Gary Cahill, has been uncertain throughout this season and this has been clear as Jose Mourinho has brought in Kurt Zouma at different stages of the season.
Although, John Terry has shown he is one of the best defenders in the league, he cannot keep it up for a season, and it’s up to Mourinho to find the right replacements.
Because at times this Chelsea’s team have looked complete, but now cracks in the defence are beginning to show.
And Varane could be the right man to strengthen their back line with the 20-year-old getting frustrated at the Bernabeu.
Although Zouma looks to have a strong future, Cahill’s future is a doubt and they need a long term replacement for Terry.
