Metro have managed to become the most popular publication here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that Real Madrid are eyeing Petr Cech.
The Chelsea goalkeeper is looking nailed on to move this summer after becoming fed up with life on the bench and after winning the League Cup with the Blues – not to mention probably adding another Premier League medal to his collection, we think he will be leaving on a high.
As one of our punters notes, Cech has been nothing but the consummate professional for Chelsea and is someone who if he wants to leave, should certainly be allowed to do so for the right price and we think Jose Mourinho would agree with that.
Mourinho knows Real Madrid well and would probably be happy to not only seal the fate of Iker Casillas by sending Cech to the club but also pocket some cash or one of Real Madrid’s players – with Raphael Varane a name linked with Chelsea on a daily basis.
