It’s most definitely been a frustrating campaign in the Football Transfer Tavern for both sides of Manchester, but more specifically the blue side who were expecting a dominant season.
The arrival of Pep Guardiola meant the 2012 and 2014 Premier League winners were tipped to boast silverware this year, including challenging for the top-flight title, FA Cup and the Champions League – all competitions which City are no longer in the running for.
Supporters by the bar have been left displeased with the approach their manager has had to English football, many saying the Spaniard has underestimated the game in this country and thought it would be a ‘walk in the park’.
However, whether that is the case or not it certainly hasn’t been an easy ride for Manchester City and they have a fight on their hands just to finish in the top-four.
Their problems this season have been down to a number of individuals on the pitch, and it’s time they took responsibility, meaning Guardiola is hopeful get rid of a few.
Realistically, these 2 Man City players are likely to be axed this summer…..
Yaya Toure

The retired Ivory Coast midfielder didn’t have the best of starts to the campaign after comments by his agent meant Pep Guardiola refused to select Yaya Toure in his matchday squad.
He did eventually apologise and that allowed the 33-year-old to pick up his old form to help Manchester City in their rise up the table, although, of course, that hasn’t gone to plan.
Our City-mad punters think it’s time Toure moved on as it’s unlikely he’ll be featuring much next season – either he choose to departs or the gaffer will be forced to axe him at some point in the summer.
Fabian Delph

Fabian Delph has been a rarity in the Manchester City squad this year having made as little as seven Premier League appearances, meaning Pep Guardiola clearly doesn’t rate the England midfielder.
Here in the Football Transfer Tavern we would definitely want to see the 27-year-old get more game time as he’s still got plenty to offer.
Delph won’t want to depart the Etihad Stadium as it’s every boyhood dream to play for one of the biggest clubs in the country but the boss will not tolerate that and as a major overhaul is going to occur, he’ll be one of the first victims to be axed.
Manchester City fans, would you axe these two? Do these deserve to be let go? Who else would you give the chop to? Give us your opinions in the comments below!
