‘Really not that keen’ - Chelsea fans react to latest major summer transfer development

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for their side to sign a new striker this summer…

Diego Costa has stopped firing in recent weeks, and whilst the Blues remain firmly in the driving seat for the Premier League trophy at the end of the season, the Spaniard has really struggled to lead his side to glory in recent weeks.

To be fair to him, the striker was vital earlier in the season. He was a regular goalscorer, proving vital to Chelsea’s cause going forward, but his lack of goals in recent weeks is a serious problem for Antonio Conte.

Rumours of an interest in a new striker were always going to be forthcoming, then, with Chelsea’s attacking line in desperate need of a rejig. Both Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata were reportedly on Conte’s radar – leaving the Blues in the pub divided.

However, with recent quotes from Morata via the Guardian hinting that a reunion with Conte could be on the cards eventually, the Chelsea fans on Twitter have erupted.

Indeed, many think that a move could be coming this summer, and a few are desperate to see the Spaniard sign sooner, rather than later…
