Manchester United: Ed Woodward and co won’t be helped by transfer window extension according to supporters

According to breaking news from the BBC, Premier League clubs have voted to extend their summer transfer window in line with the rest of Europe to 17:00 on 1st September – but these Manchester United supporters don’t think Ed Woodward and the board will benefit from the news.

Woodward, who managed to make two much-needed senior additions to United’s first team in January through signing Bruno Fernandes in a £47 million deal and Odion Ighalo on loan, has been at the mercy of supporters recently for his transfer conduct – with many fans protesting against the executive vice-chairman along with the Glazers.

Previously, the summer transfer window shut on the eve of the new Premier League season after a past vote from top flight clubs – but after two seasons of doing things differently – they have opted to revert back to the traditional cut-off point of late August/early September. Indeed, while this may seem like positive news, United supporters have hinted that it will make no difference with Woodward overseeing business.
