Liverpool: Fans react to huge England news

Liverpool and the England national team have long had a strenuous relationship.

The Reds supporters are not always behind the Three Lions – many of their supporters consider themselves as Scouse first and English second – and the events of this season will not have helped the relationship between the two. Joe Gomez, one of the Anfield outfit’s players, was attacked by Raheem Sterling during an England training session, with the latter then suspended from the following game. However, it was Gomez who was booed at Wembley despite not doing anything wrong.

The current pandemic appears to have stopped a lot of things, and it might have brought an end to international football as well, at least for the near future. That is according to The Independent, who say that Gareth Southgate’s side could go without a game for 10 months.
