Even though the coronavirus pandemic and ensuing suspension of the Premier League has taken some of the gloss off it, this has been a wonderful season for Liverpool so far.
As it stands, the Reds are 25 points clear at the top of the Premier League, which is the biggest such margin in the history of the top tier. They have lost just a single match in the 29 league games that they have been played so far this term and they are now just six points and two wins away from confirming their status as champions.

Their last title victory was 30 years ago and it seems that many supporters of other clubs aren’t enjoying the Reds’ time at the top. That seemed clear following the BBC’s Awards of the Season. The Reds’ single loss was 3-0 against Watford – and that was voted as the Moment of the Year by fans across the country.
