Liverpool: Fans react to bizarre Singapore pandemic initiative

There has been a rather unusual story involving Liverpool that has emerged.

Obviously, the current pandemic has wreaked havoc across the planet. Latest figures show that over 2.4m people have been infected, whilst over 150,000 have sadly passed away across the globe due to the illness, and it is as of yet unknown when things will begin to return to normal.

Singapore, though, appeared to have a plan to combat the disease, or at the very least raise public awareness. Incredibly, they created a super-hero as part of an advertising campaign against the illness, only the figure had a crossed-out liver bird on his chest and a Manchester United belt on.

The design has since been ruled out after a number of complaints, but the Empire of the Kop Twitter page still managed to get their hands on the drawing, and they have shared it on the social media platform. The supporters have been reacting in numbers, and you can see some of the best comments below.
