Liverpool: Fans love Premier League update

Of all the football clubs affected by the current pandemic, few can argue to have a more bitter taste in their mouth than Liverpool.

The Reds, of course, have failed to win a league title since 1990, coming close on a number of occasions but unable to make that final step. This term, though, the race for the trophy has been anything but tight, with the Anfield outfit currently leading the table by a huge 25 points. When football was suspended, they were just two wins and six points away from confirming their status as champions.

However, with the disease wreaking havoc across the planet, there were rumours that the season may need to be cancelled, as has been the case for Ligue 1 and the Eredivisie. Now, though, there has been some positive news for the Liverpool fans. According to The Telegraph, Boris Johnson will give the green light for the Premier League to return on Monday.
