Liverpool will be ruing their luck right now.
The Reds are currently top of the Premier League table by a huge 25 points – the biggest such margin in the history of the division – and they are just two wins away from confirming their inevitable status as champions. However, the current pandemic has not only seen professional football in the UK suspended, but has also threatened to cancel the campaign altogether.
Everton legend Graeme Sharp believes that the season should be declared null and void. The 59-year-old told The Irish Independent that, whilst it would be a shame for the Reds not to win the title and that Leeds and West Brom would not be promoted, this is the only way to go.
