‘Reminds me of Drogba’ - Chelsea fans were in awe of 24-year-old after Sunday heroics

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern were pleased with their side’s win against Leicester City on Sunday, but it is evident that their side is still struggling.

There are more than a few problems in the Chelsea first team. Defensive mistakes cost their side against Barcelona, whilst Tiemoue Bakayoko has continued to struggle in midfield.

Up-front, their problems are perhaps most evident, with both Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata struggling at present.

What makes their attacking problems even worse is the fine form of Michy Batshuayi. The Belgian is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund, and his form has been nothing short of sensational. Indeed, he has already bagged six goals in six Bundesliga starts – three times as many as he scored in the Premier League for Chelsea this season.

One of those goals came yesterday against Hannover, with the Belgian scoring a deft flick in the first half – sealing three points for his team in the process. It was yet another heroic performance from him, as he continues to go from strength to strength in the Bundesliga.

Indeed, it seems pretty clear that Chelsea fans did not miss the display from Batshuayi, with the fans over on Twitter clearly in awe of his performance. It will come as no surprise to learn that many are desperate for him to return.

It’s no surprise that fans are keeping an eye on their side’s on-loan talent, but it’s fair to say that Batshuayi is getting particular attention.
