‘Replace him with Milinkovic-Savic’ - Chelsea fans are ready for £27m-rated regular to depart

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are still waiting for something to happen at their club this summer. With every passing day, the Blues are running out of time to get their summer into gear.

Naturally, this is frustrating fans, and it will come as no surprise to hear that they’re eager for their team to invest some money.

Last season proved that Chelsea need some serious upgrades this summer, with a number of players struggling.

One such player was Cesc Fabregas. Though he enjoyed a decent year during Conte’s first season, he struggled last season under the rigours of more game time. Lacking that creative edge that he has been known for over the years, he offered little when it really mattered.

Fabregas, who is rated at £27 million by Transfer Markt, has been solid for the Blues, but there’s no denying that his game has fallen off somewhat over the years.

Unsurprisingly, then, Chelsea fans on Twitter are calling for him to be moved on. Chelsea recently paid tribute to the Spaniard over on Twitter in celebration of the four year period since he signed for the club.

Fans are calling for him to be replaced in response to Chelsea’s post on Twitter. They’ve listed a few names they want to come in, with one such example being Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. Currently playing for Lazio, the pass-master has impressed over the years with his technical ability in the middle of the park.

More broadly, though, some fans don’t seem too bothered about who comes in – as long as Fabregas leaves.
