The Reds have produced some of England’s most impressive homegrown players in times gone by, but with money and European attraction seeing clubs draw players in from all corners of the globe, Liverpool have looked to South America for a potential future star.
Indeed, Melwood can welcome a new addition to the youth academy as highly-rated defender Anderson Arroyo has joined the Reds. The teen sensation looks to be the next big thing out of South America, as the promising defender has managed to make the step up to become a regular for his country Colombia’s Under-20 side. However, he won’t be featuring on Merseyside anytime soon as he’s very much viewed in plans for the future, after immediately being sent out on loan to Spain to spend his time in Mallorca.
