Report: Chelsea miss out on talented midfielder with Italy move secured

Chelsea fans here in the Tavern won’t want to see a repeat of the last campaign as they missed out on securing a Champions League place.

Indeed, the Blues will be wanting to make huge improvements over the course of the summer transfer window, with anything less than a Champions League spot being frowned upon next season. Although, they haven’t made the best of starts, as according to Goal.com, Chelsea have seen highly-rated midfielder Harvey St Clair opt against signing a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Sadly, Chelsea have had to wave goodbye to highly-rated 19-year-old midfielder Harvey St Clair, who opted against signing a new contract at the club and instead completed a move to Venezia.

The midfielder had been on the Blues’ books since joining their U8 team, progressing through the ranks to make his bow for the U18s at just 15 years of age.

However, his departure has disappointed many of our local residents as he was highly regarded at the club.

Landlord’s Verdict:

So, it looks as if things are going from bad to worse for Chelsea as one of their most promising youngsters has opted to leave the club. Indeed, this hasn’t gone down too well with many of our locals, with future success now heavily reliant on transfer window business.
