Report: Liverpool told price to pay to bring talented Italian winger to Premier League

Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will be delighted with how Jurgen Klopp has been doing his transfer business this summer, and will want the club to continue with bringing in a number of players.

The German has been busy making a number of additions to help improve his squad as they prepare to compete across all competitions next season. However, the Anfield outfit have suffered setbacks during their recruitment drive and look to have turned their attention to another attacker.

And, according to a report from Gazzetta Dello Sport (via talkSPORT), the Reds are interested in bringing Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina, yet they could have to spend a small fortune on trying to bring the Italian to the Premier League.

And that’s because it is believed that the Serie A outfit want £62 million for their winger, who has continued to impress and has garnered plenty of interest from abroad.

It is thought Fiorentina will not lower their valuation for the 20-year-old and feel it is a fair price in today’s financial market, but whether it’s a figure Liverpool are able to match, or indeed willing to match, very much remains to be seen.

Landlord’s Verdict: The Reds have been linked with a number of attackers over the summer already in the form the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Nabil Fekir – however, the possibility of Chiesa would also excite the Liverpool locals in the Tavern.

The Italian has a whole lot of football left ahead of him and has shown how much talent he already has, and should Liverpool be able to prise him from Florence, then he would be a solid acquisition for a number of years to come.
