Though it was a thoroughly enjoyable campaign for the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, many of them have been left rather frustrated this summer.
Indeed, the Blues in the bar are yet to see the Stamford Bridge giants make major moves in the market and reports from the London Evening Standard today have cause even more annoyance.
According to their report, the English champions are unlikely to splash £70m on reported target James Rodriguez. Despite his struggles in Spain of late, Los Blancos seem to be looking for top dollar.
Perhaps spending such big money on a player who on the periphery in the Spanish capital would be a tad excessive, though many of our west London locals believe that is simply the premium cash-rich Premier League sides face these days.
With that in mind, here’s a look at how Chelsea fans reacted to the James Rodriguez reports on Twitter.
