Our Sheffield Wednesday fans here in the Transfer Tavern are dreaming of promotion this season with their club currently sitting in the play-off places.
The Owls have been going well this season but know they cannot afford any slip-ups with the race for the top six as tight as it has been this season.
Indeed, with Leeds sitting just outside they really don’t want to drop any points as they look to make it the second promotion for the two sides in Sheffield.
Earlier this month, of course, Sheffield United saw themselves get into the Championship from League 1 and whilst a Steel City derby would be something to look forward to, Wednesday would rather be in the top flight.
Ahead of the Owls’ game against Derby, though, Carlos Carvalhal moved to congratulate the Blades on their achievement via the club’s Twitter account – something many Wednesday fans on the social media site weren’t too keen about.
