Our Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern just can’t get enough of the transfer rumours surrounding their club and you can see why.
After a summer of massive names getting linked the likes of Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic rocked up at Old Trafford to great fanfare at the start of this season.
Of course, it’s taken a little while for things to gel but they appear to be doing so now and it looks like Jose Mourinho is preparing to add to his galaxy of stars over the coming windows, too.
The likes of Antoine Griezmann and Bernardo Silva have been linked with moves to the club by Don Balon in Spain and The Sun respectively, suggesting Mourinho is more than ready to spend even more money.
Our landlord thinks with those two United could have a sensational side and reckons it could look a little something like this…
GK: David De Gea

Unless United sign Manuel Neuer they’re not going to get a better ‘keeper than De Gea. Even that’s up for debate given how good he is though.
RB: Antonio Valencia

Valencia has really established himself as a quality Premier League right back. Eventually he’ll be replaced but it’s not that urgent a matter right now.
CB: Eric Bailly

Bailly is currently at AFCON 2017 but he’ll be back in the side once he returns. United would be hard-pressed to find a defender better than him at his age right now.
CB: Phil Jones

Our landlord has been hugely impressed with the way Phil Jones has performed this season and for his professionalism. He believes he deserves to stay in the side for some time to come.
LB: Luke Shaw

Matteo Darmian is not good enough and Daley Blind looks past his best so we have to imagine Luke Shaw will come back in the side eventually. He is good enough after all.
CM: Michael Carrick

Carrick is nearly always the man United turn to to control games and so that shouldn’t change just yet. He may be getting on but he’s still got plenty to offer.
CM: Ander Herrera

Ander Herrera is a tenacious midfielder and has been one of United’s best stars this season. He’s surely going to be a mainstay for some time to come.
CM: Paul Pogba

The French midfielder has shown better signs of late even if his performance against Liverpool recently was poor. Once he gets settled properly expect him to hit new heights.
RW: Bernardo Silva

The Monaco man can play in behind the striker or down either wing so we’ve put him down the right. Jose Mourinho used 4-3-3 in his first stint at Chelsea and reflecting their success would be no bad thing for United.
ST: Zlatan Ibrahimovic

He’s been an absolute class act and looks like he’s been in this division all his life. It’s anyone’s guess how long he has left and that is all down to his professionalism and quality.
LW: Antoine Griezmann

The French attacker is sublime and would work in many roles in this United side. Our landlord reckons he’d drift inside and cause havoc in behind the main man Ibrahimovic up top.
