Celtic should target Josh Onomah

Celtic gathered some momentum recently as Brendan Rodgers appears to have gotten his side back on track.

The Hoops have made moves on the transfer front this summer, but those particular players haven’t necessarily made a positive impact. Although, they do still find themselves in a promising position and could still strengthen with the transfer deadline being today.

Indeed, the Scottish club will need to bring in a couple of players if they can beat the clock as they haven’t quite managed to find their feet in the final third without Moussa Dembele. So, if they can manage to strengthen before the deadline then they will put themselves back on track to secure the treble.

Interestingly, one name that the defending Scottish Premiership champions could take a look at is one of Tottenham Hotspur’s brightest talents, Josh Onomah.

The Englishman spent the whole of last season on loan at English Championship side Aston Villa, where he found the back of the net four times and provided three assists for his teammates. And, the youngster hasn’t been able to work his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s plans in the current campaign, so he will no doubt be available for loan if Celtic manage to submit an interest before it’s too late.

Brendan Rodgers will know that he needs to bring in another attack-minded midfielder before the transfer deadline as Scott Sinclair has been off the pace and Stuart Armstrong departed earlier on this summer.
