Joe Worrall has a lot to do to get Rangers fans onside after Livingston shocker

Joe Worrall has a lot to do to get Rangers fans onside after Livingston shocker

Yesterday, Steven Gerrard’s Rangers lost away at Livingston to take their away record in the Scottish Premier League to two points out of a possible 12. The fans are far from pleased with that and have been dissecting the defeat away at Almondvale, with Joe Worrall coming in for a fair bit of criticism.

It’s easy to forget that young Joe Worrall is only 21-years-old. However, for a lot of supporters, that’s no excuse. The defender has been brought in on-loan from Nottingham Forest and the fans will be desperate to see him find some form quickly or he could be stuck on the bench behind Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic for the majority of his loan spell at Ibrox.

here’s no way you can pin a defeat onto one man, and the Gers aren’t blaming the 21-year-old defender solely for the defeat, but he was one of the poorest performers on the day and it was clear to see that he stood out for his poor performance. Alongside Worrall, Steven Gerrard also came under fire for his management of the defeat. It was, of course, his decision to rest Katic for Worrall and the fans haven’t forgotten that either.

You can read The Bluenoses’ thoughts on Worrall here:

The fans will be hoping that Katic comes in for Worrall for their Europa League clash against Rapid Wein on Thursday as they aim to bounce back from yesterday’s disappointment.
