Rangers fans were hardly treated to an entertaining game yesterday. The Gers took to the field to face St Johnstone and were the heavy favourites before kick off. However, Steven Gerrard’s side failed to close the gap on Celtic, falling to a 0-0 draw. After the game, Daniel Candeias faced the media and he was met with disdain from the angry fans.

Gerrard will be getting increasingly frustrated with how poorly his side can be in these types of games, and given the stature of the club, it really is unacceptable that they’ve dropped points so consistently this season. Draws to Aberdeen, Dundee, Motherwell and now St Johnstone, as well as a loss away at Livingston, are all results that should have been better, and Gerrard will know that.
This season has provided the Bluenoses with a real chance to win some silverware, however, if that is to happen they will need to all be much better than they were yesterday. One of the key players they’ll be looking at to improve is Candeias, who is usually so reliable for them. However, the Portuguese winger fell short of his own expectations and yesterday saw him drop a horrible display in a game where the fans were calling out for some magic from him.

Heather Mills could cross a better ball

Talk is cheap I would rather him say that they were angry and not disappointed at least that would show that they are hungry to make up for the poor performance

The Bluenoses were far from happy with Candeias and their side on the whole yesterday and will be looking for a big reaction when they face Kilmarnock in their Scottish Cup replay on Wednesday.
