Rangers: Fans tear into Sheyi Ojo over his performance against Feyenoord

Rangers’ Europa League Group G campaign began in September with a 1-0 win over Feyenoord in which Sheyi Ojo scored the decisive goal.

However, the winger on loan from Liverpool was the target of scathing criticism from some ‘Gers supporters during the return fixture last night as Steven Gerrard’s side drew 2-2 in Rotterdam.

On his third start in Rangers’ group stage campaign, the 22-year-old endured a frustrating night as he was dispossessed four times, the second-most of any player for the visitors at De Kuip, while he was also culpable of two bad touches in the game (as per WhoScored).

His total of 18 passes was the lowest of anyone in Gerrard’s starting line-up and he was the only Rangers player to be substituted, being withdrawn for Scott Arfield in the 77th minute.

David Friel gave an unflattering assessment of Ojo’s display in The Scottish Sun, saying that the “only memorable moment of winger’s first-half display was removing his under armour in the middle of the pitch”.

These Rangers fans on Twitter also blasted the 22-year-old winger for his performance last night:
