Rangers: These fans hoping Matt Polster won’t be offloaded in January

There is set to be a major cull at Rangers in next month’s transfer window, with the Daily Record claiming that manager Steven Gerrard plans to offload as many as five players.
Will Matt Polster remain at Rangers?
Yes

No

One of those bound for the Ibrox exit door, according to the Daily Record, is defender Matt Polster, the 26-year-old American who only came to the club last January.
The right-back has made just four appearances for the ‘Gers this season and, in the most recent of those, he was given a solitary minute off the bench at Motherwell last weekend. [via TransferMarkt]
He has had a mere two starts for the club and five appearances in total over the last year, with perhaps the highlight of his abortive Rangers career coming in the 6-0 Europa League qualifying win at home to St Joseph’s in the summer when he set up Jermain Defoe’s first goal of the night, his one assist for the club.
Despite failing to establish himself at Ibrox, these ‘Gers fans on Twitter are hoping that he won’t leave the club in January, with some feeling that he hasn’t been given a fair chance to prove his worth:
Not surprised about the news regarding Docherty, Murphy, Grezda and King but I’m a little down against Polster. He’s never let us down when he’s been on and looks a very decent back up player.

Don’t think Polster has been given a proper chance tbh, players like Halliday should go.

Where you hearing that?
Tbh I think he’s far more useful to the squad than some of the others in there, and has always looked good when he’s come on. Problem is our #1 RB is our captain and we’ve got a million centre mids 😂

Should be Halliday and Docherty long before Polster.
