Rangers fans here in the Tavern are beginning to question the club’s decision making, after a quick act has left them in even more trouble. After fans suffered even more heartbreak at the weekend with a 2-1 loss away at relegation scrappers Dundee, in what was a day to forget for the bluenoses.
After their long impressive rise up from the depths of despair to the Premiership division, Rangers fans have felt at home, as they take in the familiar surroundings they were once the rulers of. However, this isn’t exactly how it’s turning out to be, now in what is their second year back in the big time, the players are finding out just how high the expectations of this historic club are, after two straight demoralizing losses has seen their side plunge out of the European places in a hostile Glasgow environment.
Although European football is still a realistic ambition with the valuable game in hand still up their sleeve, pressure continues to mount on the players’ shoulders with anything but continental football becoming a disaster.
Indeed, spending the last couple of matches without any form of a permanent manager was always going to be a task after the club decided to dismiss Pedro Caixinha, which perhaps has come back to bite them at Ibrox after manager-less Rangers have seen chances of progression scuppered under the guidance of Caretaker manager Graeme Murty.
Indeed, the blame can be placed largely on the back of Chairman Dave King, who’s been nothing short of indecisive with no signs of any contact between club and manager becoming apparent, causing the bluenoses here in the Tavern to become angered, as they watch their beloved Gers slip even further into realms of the unknown.
Therefore, having gotten no further in their quest for a new manager, with a lack of leadership at the top of the club becoming ever-present, should the Portuguese man still be riding the ship while they lined-up a replacement?
