The Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are convinced that Fabregas will leave the club in January…
It would appear that nothing Cesc Fabregas does will see him force his way back into the Chelsea first team.
The Spaniard has played well when called upon, but with Conte preferring the defensive stability of Matic and Kante – there could be no room at the club for Fabregas.
With a January sale a possibility, the Blues will no doubt have to go back into the market and replace the Spaniard – and our landlord thinks he knows exactly who the Blues should chase.
With that said, are these TWO players better options than Fabregas for Chelsea?
Isco

Isco has never really managed to break into the Real Madrid first team, and given his likely desire to play each week; Chelsea could offer him a perfect solution.
He is seen by many in the Tavern as the heir apparent to Fabregas, and he is able to play deeper or slightly further forward in the midfield.
He would offer that extra edge of mobility that Fabregas dearly lacks, and that is one of the key reasons why the Spaniard has fallen out of favour under Conte.
Potentially available and definitely world class; Isco could be an excellent replacement.
Felipe Anderson

Felipe Anderson has been linked with the Blues over the last few days, and whilst not a direct replacement for Cesc Fabregas – he could provide vital squad depth in the absence of the Spaniard.
His arrival at the club would likely force Willian in-field – but that could prove to be a stroke of genius by Antonio Conte. Willian has always looked impressive in the middle of the park.
Anderson would be a great signing given his versatility. He is able to play anywhere across the midfielder, as well as a wing-back; providing Antonio Conte with the squad depth that he craves.
Our landlord thinks that he is the ideal replacement for Fabregas, despite not being like-for-like.
