Serious improvement needed: These 2 Liverpool men should go out on loan next season

It has been a fantastic season for the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern. Even if they fail to win the Champions League, the mere prospect of a semi-final in the competition was a pipedream at the start of the season, whilst the battle for the top-four was not expected to be as simple as it has been.

In truth, the Reds have a lot to smile about for the moment, but all is not perfect with some of the members of the playing squad.

Whilst many have excelled under Jurgen Klopp, not all have been so lucky. There are a few Liverpool first team players, both young and old, that haven’t been good enough this season.

Often, it’s through no fault of their own. A lack of opportunities, a lack of form and even injury problems have been problematic for them, and so perhaps next year, a season away from the club may make sense.

It may not only allow regular football, but it will also give the Liverpool brass a clearer view of what they can do.

With that said, these 2 Liverpool men should go out on loan next season…

Dominic Solanke

Dominic Solanke moved from Chelsea to Anfield with a lot of hype behind him, but when he has played this season, it’s been clear that he’s not quite at the required level yet.

A natural goalscorer, he was sensational for the Blues in their developmental system, but whether he’s good enough for the English top flight clearly remains to be seen.

A loan away will allow him to get some first-team football under his belt, whilst also allowing Klopp to get a better idea of what he can do.

At 20-years-old, it’s now or never for Dominic Solanke.

Danny Ings

Danny Ings is older than Solanke, but he’s found game time just as hard to come by this season.

Injuries have really taken their toll on him, but Liverpool can’t give up yet.

In his pomp, he was a deadly finisher, and if he can regain that form and stay injury free, he could truly get back to his best.

Until then, though, a year away could work wonders.
