Sheffield Wednesday supporters have been reasonably upbeat in recent times after seeing their team head into the current two-week break for internationals off the back of a three-match winning streak.
Jos Luhukay’s men made a slow start to the 2018/19 Championship campaign in failing to win any of their opening three league games, picking up just one point in that time. Yet they have since embarked on a three-match winning run in overcoming Millwall, Ipswich Town, and Reading to move up the second tier table, sitting in 11th place at the first international break of the season.
As such, there have been many satisfied Owls fans up and down the country in recent times, although they are unlikely to be too pleased with recent reports suggesting that midfielder Kieran Lee is set for another spell out with injury.
The 30-year-old only returned to action earlier this month after spending the best part of nine months out with injury, only to last 15 minutes for the club’s Under-23 side in their 2-1 success over Colchester United on Monday.
And recent reports suggest that the former Manchester United man went for a scan to assess the severity of the problems sustained earlier this week, with it looking likely that Lee will spend further time on the sidelines.
And this recent update has stimulated quite a response from Sheffield Wednesday fans on Twitter, with many saying the same thing regarding the 30-year-old, namely that his time at the club may well be over…
Unfortunately I think his swfc career maybe over. Hopefully he can get back but u can’t Renew his contract here. On his day one of best midfielders I’ve seen.

Proper shame as he is a brilliant player and has been superb for us. Can’t see him kicking a ball again for us. Him in a midfield 3 with with bazza and joey would be ideal

Hope I’m wrong but can’t see him ever getting back to full fitness and be the player he was before #swfc
