Sheffield Wednesday battled it out in the Championship against Huddersfield yesterday, with the end result being o-o, per BBC Sport, and many of the fan base are reacting to statistics tweeted out about their home form this season by journalist Dom Howson.
The result means they sit 15th with two games left to play in what has been a very average season and Howson’s tweet will not help cheer up the fan base.
Wednesday’s poor record at Hillsborough has seen them pick up only one win since December 22. Howson went on to explain that the Owls have also scored the fewest home goals in the division (18) this season whilst they have only scored two first half goals from Garry Monk’s 21 home matches in charge.

This makes for pretty bleak reading and many supporters are not impressed, some are even suggesting the manager should leave the club.
For now it seems like Monk will be staying, but the home form will not be doing him any favours and he will need to produce better displays at Hillsborough next season if he wants fans to support him and if he wants to prove to the board that he is the right man for the job.
Here is what fans said following the Howson’s post:
Wednesday's record at Hillsborough:
▶️Only one win since December 22.
▶️No team in the Championship has scored fewer home goals (18) than #SWFC this term.
▶️Scored just TWO first half goals from Garry Monk's 21 home matches in charge.@LiveSwfc https://t.co/kKYqBXmoHU— Dom Howson (@domhowson) July 15, 2020
I’ve been banging on about 2 first half goals in 21 home games under Monk. You’d think we could have accidentally scored more. Blackburn & Derby scored more in 1 half than we did in 21. You’ve just got to laugh really. Most expensive tickets in the league #swfc
