In a recent feature, Dom Howson has highlighted a list of Sheffield Wednesday personnel, including Garry Monk, who must prove themselves if and when the season resumes.
In his article for the Chronicle Live, Howson has listed six players along with Monk himself who he feels must step up when the football campaign returns.
The manager has come under a lot of scrutiny lately as Owls fans air their frustration surrounding their current Championship season. Wednesday are currently 15th in the table on 48 points and have won just one game out of their last 10 played across all competitions. Their most recent result was a 5-0 spanking delivered by Brentford, which marked their third straight loss.

Some Owls fans have responded to Howson’s latest and aren’t keen on the idea of giving Monk another chance. One fan has described the recent run of form under the Englishman as ‘laughable’ and ‘absolutely disgusting’.

The only point that will be proven is Monk should have been sacked long ago

Swfc went from being a decent team in Jan, to being the worst team in the league by March. I’d like to know why.

The run of results Monk has produced is laughable, it’s absolutely disgusting. He should have been gone games ago.

We’ve not won in 10 weeks now. How has he still got a job? Shocking.
