Sheffield Wednesday have the unenviable task of trying to throw Manchester City out of the FA Cup this evening as they meet in the fifth round of the competition at Hillsborough.
It’s a game that offers the Owls a free swing, of course, as they are not expected to win the match but, even so, fans will hope that the players put in a performance.
Judging by the games of late, however, that is no guarantee with the club jerking between good and bad in recent results at an alarmingly inconsistent rate.
Even so, this is a chance to show what they can do against some of the very best and there’s not long now until kick-off.
